Overview
ShoreWorX is an Australian safety business supporting civil and infrastructure projects across the Eastern Seaboard through the hire of trench shoring equipment.
It operates as one group with two complementary businesses:
ShoreWorX, a provider of lightweight aluminium shoring systems and trench safety equipment, and
Engineered Aluminium Works, a manufacturer of Australian-made aluminium shoring systems.
The Partnership
Coogee Capital and Mulga Capital acquired APlant Hire and Lite Industries (now ShoreWorX and Engineered Aluminium Works) from its retiring founder in October 2023.
Coogee backed co-founder, Kyle McShane, to stay on, remain invested alongside us, and run the growth plan he had been building.

Coogee worked with Kyle and the team to build a strategy around the growth he wanted to achieve.
Setting a Clear Growth Plan
New fleet was funded to increase ShoreWorX's hire capability to support growth in existing and new markets.
Investing in Fleet and Hire Capability
Supported the expansion of the business beyond its existing markets in Victoria and Queensland, including establishing operations in New South Wales, the Sunshine Coast and Adelaide.
Expanding Across Australia
Coogee led the appointment of a CEO and CFO, invested in the senior team so Kyle could step back from day-to-day management and move into a non-executive director role.
Building the Leadership Team
Introduced a board, brought APlant Hire and Lite Industries together as one group under the ShoreWorX and Engineered Aluminium Works rebrand. Also invested in better systems and technology, which created a more cohesive business with clearer accountability and less reliance on founders or executives.
